Triethylene glycol (TEG)

The simplest member of the glycol family is a viscous, colorless, odorless, moisture-absorbing liquid. This material has lower volatility and higher boiling point than other glycols.

Ethylene glycols are the largest group of glycols. Monoethylene with the abbreviation MEG, diethylene with the abbreviation DEG and triethylene with the abbreviation TEG. All of them are liquid, toxic and have a very low freezing point.
